About Me
I am Gloria Palubjakova, a dedicated professional translator and editor with a B.Sc. in Microbiology and a Postgraduate Certificate in Translation Studies from the University of Portsmouth. My passion for languages and science has shaped my career, allowing me to merge my technical expertise with linguistic skills to deliver precise, high-quality translations and editorial work.
Having worked in multilingual environments and on global projects, I bring a unique combination of cultural insight, scientific knowledge, and linguistic precision to every project I undertake.

My Journey into Translation
My journey into translation was fueled by a lifelong love of languages and a strong foundation in the sciences. I started my academic path in Microbiology, developing an analytical mindset and a deep appreciation for detail and accuracy. Over time, I realized I could combine my scientific knowledge with my linguistic abilities, leading me to pursue formal training in translation.

Completing my Certificate in Translation Studies was a transformative step. It provided me with the tools to handle complex texts, particularly in technical and scientific fields, while ensuring linguistic and cultural accuracy. My Master’s degree in Global Diplomacy further broadened my horizons, equipping me with a deep understanding of international relations, policy, and communication, which informs much of my work today.
Experience That Speaks Volumes
My professional experience spans a diverse range of industries, highlighting my versatility and expertise. With a solid background in science, I excel in handling complex translations in fields such as microbiology, energy, and IT. My work in policy and international relations includes significant contributions to projects like UNIDO’s report on industrialization in Madagascar and bilingual research for the Covid-19 Global Gender Response Trackers, demonstrating my ability to navigate technical and interdisciplinary challenges effectively.

In addition to translation, I have honed my editing and proofreading skills by refining materials for organizations such as Immigration Refugees and Citizenship Canada and Engineers Canada. My meticulous approach ensures that all content meets the highest professional standards. Each project has deepened my knowledge and sharpened my abilities, allowing me to deliver exceptional results tailored to the unique needs of my clients.
Why I Excel at What I Do
What sets me apart as a translator and editor is my ability to bridge the gap between specialized knowledge and effective communication. My background in microbiology and technical fields allows me to understand complex terminology and concepts, while my linguistic training ensures I can convey these accurately and fluently in English.

Over the years, I’ve built a reputation for reliability, precision, and adaptability. Whether I’m translating technical manuals, editing policy documents, or refining academic papers, I approach each task with meticulous attention to detail and a commitment to excellence.
Passion for Excellence
My work is driven by a deep respect for language and a desire to help clients communicate their ideas effectively. Whether navigating technical jargon, unraveling policy complexities, or ensuring the stylistic integrity of a text, I strive to bring clarity, precision, and professionalism to every project.

For me, translation and editing are more than just jobs—they are opportunities to connect people, ideas, and cultures through the power of language.
